ARCHITECTURALLY SOUND. INTUITIVELY LIVED.

ABOUT ANGELA RENNIE DESIGN

our design philosophy

At Angela Rennie Design, we approach every project as a complete architectural experience. We consider volume, light, proportion, and materiality — designing all six surfaces of a space to work in harmony. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that beauty and function are inseparable, and that a home should feel effortless to live in while reflecting the distinct landscape and legacy of the family within it.

Design, a boutique interior architecture and design studio based in Yakima, Washington, serving the Pacific Northwest and select destination residences. With more than three decades of experience, she specializes in complex renovations and custom new build homes that balance architectural integrity with refined, livable elegance. Her work explores the narrative of family living with spaces designed not simply to impress, but to be enjoyed by generations of families.

Trained in Interior Architecture at the University of Oregon and certified through the NCIDQ, Angela brings technical fluency and structural insight to every project. Her early design influence in Copenhagen and experience teaching within a LEED-certified sustainability program inform a Scandinavian sensibility rooted in clarity, proportion, and material honesty. yet welcoming, globally influenced yet deeply personal. Inspired by natural landscapes and shaped by years of living and traveling abroad, from Alaska to the South of France, she designs homes that feel effortless and grounded in their surroundings. Whether renovating a historic residence or reimagining a mountain retreat, her work blends structure and personality in equal measure.

As a boutique studio, clients work directly with Angela throughout the entire process. She takes on a limited number of projects each year, ensuring hands-on leadership and meticulous attention to detail. At home, she cherishes time with her husband and two adult daughters, drawing constant inspiration from family life, travel, and the belief that the most beautiful homes are those that invite people to gather and return for generations.

shaping our legacy home

We wanted to refresh our 1930s home without losing its character — and Angela understood that immediately. She helped us create a thoughtful long-term vision, starting with strategic updates to lighting, paint, and our fireplace that completely lifted the energy of our main living spaces. The result feels timeless, cohesive, and still beautifully “us.” Angela saved us time, money, and uncertainty — and got it right the first time.
