Welcome to the story of a charming orchard farmhouse kitchen that has been given a new lease on life. This project was no small task, as it involved a complete gutting down to the studs. The house, with over a century of history within its walls, was in need of a change.
The space is the heart of a home for a family of six - two adults and four kids. They needed a kitchen that could handle the hustle and bustle of their daily lives. Every inch of the room had to be thoughtfully designed for cooking, cleaning, and storage.
The clients are passionate about cooking and baking. To cater to this love, we added a pantry on the back wall under the stairs. This smart use of space allows them to store all their ingredients and tools conveniently.
In keeping with the client's fondness for vintage items, we found a beautiful vintage wedding table. This piece now serves as the island in the kitchen. Its foldable design means it can be moved around as needed, adding flexibility to the space.
The kitchen now boasts custom roman shades, sleek black granite countertops, and hickory wood cabinets that add warmth and character. New appliances have been installed, ensuring the kitchen is equipped with everything the family needs.
This project was a journey of transforming an outdated kitchen into a functional, well-designed space that respects the home's history while meeting the needs of a modern family. The result is a kitchen that not only looks beautiful but also works beautifully for the family who calls this orchard farmhouse their home.
